Want to be rich? Then you need to be educated. But not by the government or the colleges. You need real-world street smarts. One of the biggest reasons for income inequality in the United States is that many Americans are just plain ignorant.
Now, I don't mean this in a bad way. I mean it in the truest sense of the word. They just don’t know what to do. Or, even what they CAN do!
Right now, all the numbers are showing the rich getting richer, and the poor getting poorer.
People don't understand booms and busts.
They don't understand investing.
They don't understand money (at all)!
And this is why college is a literal waste of resources (generally).
You don't learn about the real world.
You don't get a financial education.
Instead, you get theories and ideas.
Because think about it if the person teaching you in business school knows how to get rich, why are they working as a college professor?
See the problem?
The average college professor in the United States makes $113,176 a year. And Assistant Professors are only averaging $66,564 a year.
If they knew how to get rich...
...they'd be rich.
They wouldn't be in a classroom teaching theory and ideas.
Now, most teachers and professors are good people.
I believe that 100%.
But they simply can't teach the street smarts necessary to become wealthy if they've never done it themselves.
How could they?
So, if college is out (theoretically) what do I suggest?
This: you need to teach yourself about financial education through reading and
financial courses (online and offline).
Nobody is going to do it for you.
That’s what I did when I got back from Vietnam in 1973.
I took a Real Estate course that cost $385 and it set me on a path to wealth that I would never have discovered in college.
Now here I am in 2017 and my $385 course has made me tens of millions.
So overto you.
Where should YOU start?
